You would love to sneak a peek of Craig Jackson in his element. Mostly, you would love to experience the weekend of a car lover’s lifetime. With six auctions a year there’s an option for everyone. So, how do you choose which auction to go to? We’re helping you out with a comparison of the next two auctions.
When and Where?
Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino
Westworld of Scottsdale
Up Close and Personal
Car inspections are one of the highlights of attending a Barrett-Jackson Car Auction. While the auctioneers prepare their cars for the block, you have the opportunity to look under the hood. Both locations provide this opportunity in different areas. For Las Vegas, the cars are presented inside the ballroom under bright lights with plenty of air conditioning. In Scottsdale, your selection is much wider so you travel outside tent to tent. Pro tip here: check out the cars earlier in the day for the best lighting. Both shows include staging lanes you can check out as well. These lanes sit closer to the auction block for easy access.
Ride and Drive
The Ride and Drive experiences at both shows are a must do! The top car companies are on site for the ride of your life in today’s hottest cars. A professional driver behind the wheel allows you to enjoy the ride through mazes and tracks you’ve never seen before. In Las Vegas, you’re in luck! As a smaller show, the lines are smaller for this experience. In Scottsdale, more families attend this auction making this a huge attraction. Keep in mind the lines will be a bit longer so get there early!
Las Vegas and Scottsdale both offer up classic cars and memorabilia on the block you can’t resist. The biggest difference between the two is the size of the auction. Each show boasts the greatest of car collections up for auction. The celebrity sightings, superior venues, and educational programming are what make these auctions must dos.
Las Vegas is the smaller of the two auctions which allows for a more intimate experience over the span of three days. The number of vendors is smaller making the show easier to navigate, but it does cut down on the networking opportunities. Las Vegas does offer quite the nightlife and dining options post auction each evening.
Scottsdale is the largest show of the year. The number of cars and vendors is drastically different in here; you’ll need all nine days to experience it all! Exploring the tents and extremely large venue are half the fun here! Of course, the other half is the auction. The cars are great at all Barrett-Jackson auctions but here they are on a whole other level. Be aware that the parking here is vastly different and you may have to ride a bus to the actual event from the parking lot.
