To kick off the New Year, hundreds of thousands of automobile fans will travel to Scottsdale, Arizona for the first Barrett-Jackson Auction of 2020. From January 11-19, Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2020 will take place at Westworld of Scottsdale.

It’s never too early to start planning your trip to Scottsdale. Here are a few of our recommendations:

Penske Racing Museum

Octane Raceway

Start the New Year by putting the pedal to the metal at Octane Raceway. Octane Raceway is the only full-time indoor and outdoor racing track in North America. Take the 45+ mph karts for a spin on the raceway’s 1/3-mile track.

Arizona Outdoor Fun

Take an expert-guided ATV/UTV tour at Arizona Outdoor Fun. Go through the desert to the Bradshaw Mountains or travel through old canyons and across the Agua Fria River. No matter which route you go on, you’ll get lost in the stunning colors and views. Arizona Outdoor Fun is about 50 minutes from Scottsdale and a reservation is required, so plan ahead for this adventure!

Shop ‘til you drop in Arizona’s largest mall: Scottsdale Fashion Square. With some of fashion’s biggest names (Nordstrom, Gucci, Louis Vuitton), this upscale shopping mall will wow you! Scottsdale Fashion Square ranks in the top 30 largest malls in the country, so make sure to wear your walking shoes.

There is plenty to do in Old Town Scottsdale: shopping at the boutiques, exploring the historic district or eating at the many restaurants. Enjoy Mexican Cuisine at the Old Town Tortilla Factory or splurge on desserts at the Sugar Bowl, a delicious ice cream shop. You can also dine at Citizen Public House and enjoy a chopped salad so famous that it has its own Facebook page!

Comedy Spot

Enjoy a show in downtown Scottsdale. Get some good laughs at the Comedy Spot, the only comedy club in Scottsdale and the longest running in Arizona.

Any morning from 9 am to 1 pm, indulge at Singh Farms, a fresh produce market. Alongside organic fruit and vegetables, you’ll find delicious homemade, whole-grain bread, muffins, cinnamon buns and different types of preserves too.
