What to do in Uncasville, Conneticut during Barrett-Jackson Northeast 2020

Next summer, the Mohegan Sun will host Barrett-Jackson Northeast 2020 for the fifth time. From June 24-27, car enthusiasts will gather at the resort and casino in Uncasville, Connecticut for an auction featuring unique, valuable cars.

Here are some of our favorite recommendations for Mohegan Sun and the surrounding area:

Mohegan Sun

1 Mohegan Sun Blvd, Uncasville, CT 06382

With three casinos, Mohegan Sun Arena, an arcade, spas, nightclubs and more, there is enough for you to do at Barrett-Jackson Northeast that doesn’t require you to leave the premise:

Comix Roadhouse

1 Mohegan Sun Blvd, Uncasville, CT 06382

Comix Roadhouse is the Mohegan Sun’s place to go for a good time. This entertainment destination is home to comedy shows, live music performances, bull-riding and TBT Karaoke! With 30 craft beers on-tap, country-themed cocktails and Texas-styled bar bites, you’re in for a real treat at Comix Roadhouse.

Mohegan Sun Arena

Mohegan Sun Arena

1 Mohegan Sun Blvd, Uncasville, CT 06382

Keep an eye on the Mohegan Sun Arena’s event calendar as Barrett-Jackson Northeast 2020 approaches. Headlining concerts and premier sporting events make stops at Mohegan Sun Arena, earning the title of “Arena of the Year” in 2013.

Bobby's Burger PalaceBobby’s Burger Palace

1 Mohegan Sun Blvd, Uncasville, CT 06382

There’s a plethora of restaurants at Mohegan Sun, but Bobby’s Burger Palace is at the top of our list. This casual and affordable eatery features burgers, shakes, fries and more inspired by celebrity chef Bobby Flay. Ask to get your burger “crunchified” (for free!) to add crispy potato chips on top. Yum!

Michael Jordan Steakhouse

1 Mohegan Sun Blvd, Uncasville, CT 06382

Enjoy an upscale, sit-down dinner at Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse. Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse promises to serve prime steaks, the freshest seafood and spectacular wines with service as great as #23. Adjacent to the Michael Jordan Steakhouse is Michael Jordan’s 23 Sportcafe, offering the same inviting service and food but in a more casual atmosphere.

Jasper White’s Summer Shack

1 Mohegan Sun Blvd, Uncasville, CT 06382

If you’re traveling to Barrett-Jackson Northeast 2020 from a landlocked state, take advantage of the access to a fresh helping of seafood at Jasper White’s Summer Shack. Named after one of New England’s most notable chefs, Jasper White’s seafood spot has a raw bar, picnic table dining and a menu featuring lobster galore.

Carlos’ Bakery

1 Mohegan Sun Blvd, Uncasville, CT 06382

After dinner, treat yourself to dessert at Carlo’s Bakery. This as-seen-on-TV bakery originated in New Jersey, but now you can enjoy all of its Italian pastries from inside of the Mohegan Sun.

Exploring Outside the Mohegan Sun

With everything the Mohegan Sun has to offer, it’s entirely possible to have a good time during your Barrett-Jackson trip without having to leave the property. However, there are so many adventures outside the Mohegan Sun that you won’t want to miss out on either! Here are a few fun, nearby activities:

Foxwoods Resort Casino

39 Norwich-Westerly Road, Ledyard, CT 06339

Not having luck at the Mohegan Sun casinos? Switch things up and try to change your luck at the Foxwoods Resort Casino. This casino is only 15 minutes away from the Mohegan Sun and is home to Connecticut’s only indoor shopping center, Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods.

Connecticut Wine Trail

Explore one of the most exciting and fastest growing wine regions in the country by stopping at three of these nearby wineries and vineyards. Sip on some wine and enjoy the state’s beautiful scenery.

Holmberg Orchards and Winery: 12 Orchard Ln, Gales Ferry, CT 06335

Atlantic Beach Park at Misquamicut

321 Atlantic Ave, Westerly, RI, 02891

Make a fun, memorable summer day out of a trip to Atlantic Beach Park at Misquamicut. Although Atlantic Beach Park is a 45-minute trip from the Mohegan Sun, the myriad of fun things they have are worth it. With batting cages, bumping boats, miniature golf, a carousel, a kiddie amusement park and access to a beach, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Essex Steam TrainEssex Steam Train and Riverboat
